I've made a couple of backgammon sets, and this one was the first. The green and red spikes on the board were cut from a US dollar bill and a Polish 100-zloty note (I bought 100,000 zlotys, in hundreds, shrink-wrapped by the National Bank of Poland, for 35 bucks at a coin shop in Boston. I still have many 100-zloty notes left, waiting for the right project, or the return of Communism to Poland).
